Description
MARC LALIQUE (1900–1977) & MAISON LALIQUE Seville, the model created in [1947] Pair of wall lights. Made from moulded and pressed crystal, partly with a satin finish. Aluminium wall brackets. A small chip and a chip in the hole for the fixing of one of the wings; completely invisible once the piece is mounted. Each wall light is signed ‘LALIQUE’ on a mounting plate. H. 42 cm Bibliography: Mobilier et Décoration, December 1949. A wall light from Marc Lalique’s Seville series is reproduced on page 25, in an article entitled ‘Lalique or the poetry of glass’ by P. Sentenac.
