LES ARTISANS DE MAROLLES AN ASSOCIATION FOUNDED IN 1950 BY JEAN TOURET (1916–2004), SCULPTOR A rare oak sideboard; the surface of the four front doors is entirely finished with a gouge. Elephant-style legs; the original wrought-iron door handles and hinges, blackened. The interior features drawers on the right-hand side and shelves throughout the rest of the cabinet. Circa 1958. H. 98.5 cm W. 199.5 cm D. 45 cm Exhibition: Exhibition of the Artisans of Marolles Château de Blois, Salle Gaston d’Orléans, 1958. An identical model, with a slight variation in the handles, was exhibited at this event.
