Jean ARP was commissioned by the director, Serge Gauthier, to create six forms of sculptural vases between 1963 and 1966. His death in 1966 left some of the projects at the prototype stage, but three major designs were produced between 1966 and 1968, in limited editions of 10 pieces, in various colours or glazes, not all of which were actually produced
