EXCEPTIONAL: LES ROULIERS (Lure, France, 1959) – a VITABRILL advertising lorry made of zamac with a sheet-metal chassis, L: 9 cm – an extremely rare model, quite complex, manufactured by ROBERT-MONNE of Lure. Expensive and small in size, it did not sell well, and the company J.M.K., which took over, immediately ceased production of the Vitabril and focused on the RAMI collection of old bangers. Condition A, box b.
The specimen offered here is first-hand: the owner, Mr C. from Grenoble, received it as a child directly from the VITABRIL hostess during the 1960 Tour de France. A shy little boy, he stood a short distance away from the large lorry shaped like a tube of cream, completely fascinated by it. The hostess noticed him and kindly told him to come closer. To Jean-Pierre’s amazement, she handed him the little box containing the lorry, a blotting pad and a tube of the famous hair pomade. A careful child and already something of a collector, he has kept it complete and in mint condition to this day. A certificate of authenticity will be included.
