DINKY TOYS ATLAS ref. 24S Simca 8 Sport AZURE BLUE, produced in a run of 120 in 2010 for the winners of the ‘La Grande Course No. 4’ competition, manufactured in two batches: a first batch of 60 (including 50 for the winners plus 10 spares in case of loss or damage) with box stickers and an oxidised chassis with imperfections, and a second batch of 60 (50 for the winners + 10 spares in case of loss or damage) without stickers and with a flawless chassis. The example offered here comes from the batch of 10 spares from the first series – without decals – and, fortunately, its chassis has almost no defects – it comes with a ‘24S’ case dated 2008. One of the finest Dinky Atlas models, condition A.a. A certificate of provenance drawn up by Jean-Michel Roulet will be provided to the successful bidder.
