CARTIER. Panther pendant from the Panthère molle collection, in silver-platinum or silverium; the eyes, nose and bail are in 750-th yellow gold. The bail is signed ‘Cartier’ and numbered; it bears the hallmark of Lucien Vachey, goldsmith. Total length including bail: 53 mm. Gross weight: 28.5 g. Silverplatinum was invented in 1984 by Lucien Vachey. It consists of 800-th silver, blackened throughout by an alloy of metals containing 16 elements, including platinum. Sold with a ten-strand necklace of haematite pearls; the clasp is in 750-th yellow gold. Owl hallmark. Gross weight 123.5 g. Length 44 cm.
