Attributed to Louis de CAULLERY (1565–1622), after Jacopo BASSANO (1510–1592). Spring. Copperplate. Bears the engraver’s mark on the reverse: ‘Peter Stas’ and the Antwerp mark. 21 x 29.5 cm. A copperplate of the same dimensions, also based on Jacopo Bassano’s composition set in a Flemish landscape, was attributed to Cornelis de Baellieur at a Tajan auction in 2012 (20 June 2012, lot 31).
