A covered bowl with a silver rim, circular in shape and edged with laurel leaves and berries, a motif repeated on the pedestal and the rim, handles with scrollwork featuring laurel leaf motifs joined by a baluster of lanceolate leaves with palmette and fleur-de-lis attachments; the lid features a beaded rim and a moulded edge, with a pine-cone-shaped knob set upon a platform of stylised amati leaves and palmettes. Paris Vieillard 1st Title 1819–1838, Master Goldsmith: Pierre-Marie Devilleclaire, hallmark: 1812–1813, struck through: 1824. Diameter of bowl (excluding handles): 17 cm, diameter of rim: 23 cm. Weight: 1,133 g. The interior is scuffed and there is very slight distortion to the lid’s rim. 2 pieces.
