One of the fifteen copies on Japanese paper (this one numbered X), signed by the artist, and featuring a dedication to Louis Broder: ‘because he loves workers for a living and hates those who do not want to be dead’. Antonin Artaud. 12 November 1947.
Addressed to Louis Broder, the future leading publisher of artists’ books, this item bears witness to the ties forged as early as 1947 between Artaud and the man who, after his death, would publish *Galapagos* in 1955 and *Autre chose que de l’enfant beau* in 1957.
