[BATAILLE (Georges)]. *Acéphale*. Issues 1 to 4. Paris, GLM, 1936–1937. 3 in-4 volumes, paperback, in a black slipcase. A collector’s item from this highly significant journal devoted to religion, sociology and philosophy, whose contributors included Georges Bataille, Roger Caillois, Pierre Klossowski, André Masson, Jules Monnerot, Jean Rollin and Jean Wahl.
Included here are issue 1, *La Conjuration sacrée*, issue 2 (a double issue) on Nietzsche and the Fascists, and issues 3–4 devoted to Dionysus.
