CLERMONT-FERRAND Truncated conical jug, with a tasselled handle, 18th century. On the inside of the lid, in low relief: A* STAGNON, read backwards. Hallmarks on the lid: 1) star / A S, Antoine STAGNONE, undoubtedly of Italian origin; we have previously encountered his hallmark—depicting a unicorn—on several pieces of Piedmontese origin.
