HAUTE-SAVOIE (74) – “The Castles and Chapel of Les Allinges”. 19th century. Original drawing by Félix Benoist (1818–1896) in graphite, on mounted China paper. PRELIMINARY DRAWING for the album “NICE ET SAVOIE” published in 1864 by Charpentier. Provenance: From the collection of the Charpentier studio, run by Pierre-Henri (1788–1854) and his son Henri-Désiré (1806–1883), printers and publishers based in Paris, then in Nantes (from 1854). 21 x 32.5 cm. Condition A (rare minor handling marks, in good condition).
