ENGLISH REVOLUTION – Set of 2 engravings after Benjamin WEST (1738–1820). 1–‘CROMWELL’ (Cromwell dissolves Parliament). 1789. Engraved by John Hall (1739–1797). 2–‘Restoration’ (The arrival of King Charles II of England on the beach at Dover on 25 May 1660). 1789. Engraved by William SHARP. 19th-century prints. Approx. 52 x 65 cm each. Condition B/C (foxing and signs of sun damage; both were previously mounted by the edges onto the back of a frame).
