RARE EGYPTIAN FAIENCE USHABTI WITH INSCRIPTION Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A green faience mummiform ushabti wearing a tripartite wig and false beard, with the arms crossed over the chest and the hands holding a crook and flail. A vertical column of hieroglyphic inscription extends down the front of the lower body. A dorsal pillar extends down the back. The figure stands on an integral rectangular base. Accompanied by a modern custom-made display stand. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum Object Number: 43.5. Size: 180mm x 50mm; Weight: 170g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier present on the French art market before 2000.
