EGYPTIAN RELIEF WITH THE HEAD OF A KING WEARING THE KHEPRESH CROWN Late PeriodÐEarly Ptolemaic Period (ca. 360Ð250 BC). A stone relief head of a pharaoh in profile, wearing the blue war crown, khepresh, decorated with rows of incised circular motifs. The face has an elongated eye beneath an arched brow, a prominent ear and a projecting nose. Size: 210mm x 160mm; Weight: 1.92kg Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier present on the French art market before 2000. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
