Description
LARGE EGYPTIAN WOOD PTAH-SOKAR-OSIRIS Third Intermediate Period to Late Period, Ca. 1069 - 332 BC. A painted wood mummiform figure of Ptah-Sokar-Osiris with a red face, black tripartite wig, and projecting false beard. The body is painted red with cream panels across the chest and a vertical cream column down the front bearing a hieroglyphic inscription. The figure stands on a rectangular base with a tenon below.
