FANTASTIC EGYPTIAN BRONZE AND BONE KHOPESH New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A bronze khopesh with a long sickle-shaped blade and an angular shoulder with paired volutes. The blade curves outward before turning to an upturned squared tip, with multiple incised channels following its length. The hilt has a bone grip set between wooden collars and ends in a flared wooden pommel. Handle with restoration For similar see: The Egyptian Museum in Cairo (EMC), JE 61588.
