SCYTHIAN SILVER ALLOY JUG WITH WATER BIRDS FRIEZE Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A silver alloy jug with a spreading foot, broad ovoid body, waisted neck, and thick rounded rim. The body is decorated with deep vertical fluting above and below a central repoussŽ frieze with water birds in profile among fish, set against a stippled ground.
