LARGE HELLENISTIC EYE AGATE CABOCHON IN GOLD MEDALLION Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A large eye agate cabochon set in a possibly later gold medallion within a wavy wire mount. The broad circular plate is decorated with two concentric rows of granules divided and enclosed by beaded wire borders. Size: 80mm x 80mm; Weight: 51g Provenance: Private London collection of Ancient Art; previously with a London art dealer; acquired from a Japanese collection (1970-2010).
