HELLENISTIC CARNELIAN INTAGLIO OF A LADY OF FASHION IN GOLD RING Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A carnelian intaglio engraved with a bust of a lady of fashion in left profile, raising her right hand to her face. Her elaborate coiffure is arranged in layered curls beneath a stephane, with long strands falling behind the head. It is set in a possibly later gold ring with a broad, rounded hoop and an oval bezel.
