COLLECTION OF GREEK GOLD QUADRIPLE-SPIRAL PENDANTS WITH RED GARNET CABOCHONS Ca. 500 - 300 BC. A necklace formed by nine gold pendants each composed of four coiled wire spirals arranged around a central garnet cabochon. A further garnet cabochon is set at the centre of each spiral, and a narrow twisted stem joins the upper edge to a transverse suspension tube. Size: 23-25mm x 18-19mm; Weight: 24g Provenance: From a private UK collection, M.A.; earlier purchased on the London art market before 2000.
