COLLECTION OF HELLENISTIC GOLD EARRINGS AND PENDANTS Ca. 400 - 200 BC. A collection of five gold ornaments, including, from left to right: a wire hoop earring centred by a granulated rosette set with a garnet; a disc pendant engraved with a floral motif against a cross-hatched ground; an openwork pendant composed of three filigree spheres around a central leaf-shaped element; an earring with a granulated spherical body and a cluster of globules suspended beneath; and an earring formed from two ribbed drop-shaped elements suspended from a wire loop. Size: 13-34mm x 12-27mm; Weight: 11.3g Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly H.G. collection; acquired from A. Kotllar, Paris, French art market, 1970Ð2006.
