COLLECTION OF GREEK GOLD EARRINGS Ca. 700 - 300 BC. A collection of five gold earrings, including, from left to right: a hoop earring composed of rounded sheet-gold beads threaded around a thin wire hoop; a pendant earring with a circular hoop above a linked drop of red stone, pearl and gold elements; a pendant earring with a filigree bird above an orange cylindrical bead and granular collars; a hoop earring suspending two pearl drops from linked gold loops; and an earring with a plain hook and a quatrefoil cluster of rounded cells set with red gemstones.
