Pair of large Venetian armchairs, Louis XV style, mid-18th century. 120 x 75 x 45 cm Made of carved and moulded walnut, with a mixed-line backrest centred on a shell motif and adorned with foliage motifs. Curved armrests ending in scrolls, connected to sinuous supports. Shaped and carved front panel with a central palmette and volute motif; curved cabriole legs, decorated with foliage carvings. The seat and backrest are upholstered and covered in damask fabric in shades of red and ivory. One armchair has a break with a missing front leg.
