Alberto Giorgi (born 1947), an Italian jeweller and goldsmith, trained under the sculptor Edgardo Mannucci and is regarded as one of the leading figures of the Fano School. Active from the 1960s onwards, at a time when kinetic art was revolutionising established forms, he made geometry his own language, creating jewellery that resembles moving constellations and celestial landscapes, where pivots and joints mimic the movement of the stars. His creations are held in the collections of the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York.
