Description
184. FEDERICO BUCCELLATI: GOLD AND SILVER CUFFLET BRACELET
Featuring an openwork oak leaf motif, signed FEDERICO BUCCELLATI, French import hallmarks for 18-carat gold (750 ‰) and silver (925 ‰), inner circumference 16.5 cm, gross weight 62.63 g, accompanied by a case signed Buccellati.
Federico Buccellati, the third son of Mario Buccellati, was entrusted by his father with the management of the firm’s Roman headquarters, which had opened in 1925 on Via dei Condotti. At the end of the war, in 1940, he joined his brothers Gianmaria and Lorenzo alongside their father, and, together with Lorenzo, developed the business in Italy whilst continuing, in his own designs, the engraved and textured style inherited from Mario. His jewellery and silverware, bearing his name, carry on this craftsmanship, which has now been passed on to his children under the Federico Buccellati brand.
