Height: 47.5 cm. Length: 99.5 cm. Sight.
Launched at Saint-Nazaire in 1936, the Strasbourg contains a seaplane hangar. These are the ones seen in the background of our work. In 1940, it escaped the attack on Mers-El-Kébir. On board was Marin-Marie, who described this tragedy vividly. Taking refuge in Toulon, she scuttled in 1942 to avoid falling into German hands. Refloated in 1944, it was sunk shortly afterwards by American bombing raids in preparation for the Provence landings.
