Designed by Jorg Hysek, then little known to the general public, his design was unveiled in 1977 to mark the 222nd anniversary of the House of the Maltese Cross, offering a vision of the watch that had never before been seen at Vacheron Constantin. The design was so radical that it remained in the catalogue for just seven years, but a discerning public took an interest in this model and succeeded in elevating it to the status of a benchmark in its category, to the point of prompting the House to reissue it. This example is the “Mini” version, designed for a female audience with a smaller size whilst retaining the distinctive proportions and features of this model.
