Description
A pastoral scene on a blackened wooden plinth depicting a couple in 18th-century-style clothing. A cord on the side sets the two figures in motion whilst controlling the music. The scene, set on a papier-mâché base, features a small fortified building to the side of the two figures, who spin round whilst mimicking the minuet. Signs of wear. 1900–1910. Dimensions: 25 x 26 cm. Expert: Jean-Claude Cazenave
