A collection of around seventy visiting-card-sized photographs (6.5 x 10.5 cm on average, including the cardboard backing), depicting figures from the worlds of music and theatre, mainly from the Oudshorn and Mabille collections, with a number bearing postmarks or stamps (1860–1900, studios in Paris, Hamburg, Warsaw, Budapest, etc.), including, amongst others: numerous portraits of women such as Rieder Schlesinger (signed), Christine Nilsson (in *Mignon*), Galli-Marié (also), Guiseppina Bosacchi (dancer), Amélie de Kercy (singer at the Gymnase), Rosina Stani (Les Huguenots), Mademoiselle Lermercier (actress and singer); Male figures such as Pablo de Sarasate, Jan Kubelik (6), Hans von Bülow, Viardot, Henselt (pianist), Berardi (bass), Bacquié (bass), Blondel (comic), Cosset (‘leading man in all genres’ (Gymnase)), Dereims (principal light tenor, Grand Théâtre), Charles Gounod, Littolf, Stephen Heller, Moscheles, Émile Augier… Stains and pinholes, some quite prominent; a few damaged cards.
