A fine example of a 16th-century-style orpharion, featuring a woman’s head with curly hair, by Gesina LIEDMEIER, made in the Netherlands in 1993, with eight courses and a chanterelle, and metal strings. Back with alternating strips of walnut and flamed maple; neck, ribs and back made of flamed maple; spruce top with a carved, inlaid soundhole. Total length: 103 cm. A wormhole on the neck; the back is slightly detached; a few frets are misaligned. In good overall condition, with a lovely patina
