A French-made cello bow from Mirecourt, from the ‘C.N.BAZIN’ workshop, bearing the ‘SIMON FR’ brand mark on the shaft near the frog; the shaft is round and made of fine reddish-brown pernambuco wood, ebony frog and button with silver mountings, in good condition, 72.5grs with a light hair and silk lining; the headplate is broken, two mother-of-pearl inlays are missing, as are the mother-of-pearl covering and a silver pin at the heel.
