A lovely little tenor viola da gamba, recently made by Iesta in 2012, based on a model by N. Bertrand from 1714, and bearing the label ‘Viola da Gamba N Bertrand 1714 Iesta B J V’.W.S 2012. Top in spruce with very fine, even growth rings; flat back in maple with a layer of slight ripples; sides in the same wood, matching the back; orange-coloured varnish; 395 mm, in very good condition, with a recently made Chinese-style bow in rosewood, in a shaped case.
