Description
Boukhara Tekké carpet (warp, weft and pile in wool), Western Turkestan. Circa 1900–1950. (Signs of wear, damage and fraying.) Length: 355 cm; Width: 220 cm. The carpet is decorated with five rows of seventeen ulhs set between a row of geometric medallions on a red ground. A wide border featuring a succession of small medallions with geometric motifs is framed by two counter-borders. SALE IN BAGNOLET – NO RETURNS Storage is subject to a charge. Any lots not collected by 5.30 pm on the day of the sale must be collected by appointment from the Bagnolet Drouot storage facility (36–56 Rue Louis David, 93170 Bagnolet; tel: 01 49 93 12 31; email: [email protected]).
