Haring, already famous in Europe, created all the works in the exhibition on site between March and June 1987. He also painted a mural on a container at the Channel Surf Club and decorated the interior of the ‘Dragon’, a sculpture-house created by Niki de Saint Phalle and Jean Tinguely. The exhibition ran from 29 June to 30 August 1987. The work *Untitled*, created especially for the occasion, perfectly illustrates Haring’s style: primary colours, organic forms, mechanised figures, robots and symbols inspired by pictograms, comic strips and street art. In it, the artist expresses, in particular, his reflections on technology and its influence on human beings. This work also bears witness to the influence of several major European artists, notably Piet Mondrian, Salvador Dalí and Pierre Alechinsky, whose dynamic style—reminiscent of CoBrA art—resonates particularly strongly in this creation. Created during a period marked by the AIDS crisis, *Untitled* represents a major work from the latter part of Keith Haring’s career. It demonstrates his desire to make art accessible to all and to create a universal visual language, whilst affirming the evolution and richness of his style.
