Seltene frühe Ziervase mit Distel-Dekor "Chardons de Lorraine" von Emile Gallé Gebauchte, leicht ins Oval gedrückte Form mit weiter Öffnung, zu zwei Seiten zungenartig ausgezogen. Hellgraublaues, transparentes, längsoptisch geblasenes Glas. Dekor in polychromer, opaker Reliefemailmalerei und Gold. Sign. "E. Gallé deposé" mit stilisiertem Distel-Stängel. H. 14 cm. Die Distel als heraldisches Motiv im Wappen von Nancy hatte eine patriotische Bedeutung, es kommt früh und oft auf Fayencen von Gallé vor, später auch auf Gallé-Gläsern mit Emaildekoren. A rare early greyish blue glass vase by Emile Gallé with enamelled and gold decor of thistles ("Chardons de Lorraine"). Signed. Frankreich. Nancy. Emile Gallé. Um 1884-1889.
