During the 1920s and 1930s, Puiforcat was one of the leading figures in the Art Deco movement in France. In the 1980s, the House experienced a revival following its acquisition in 1983 by Eliane Scali. She sought to highlight the House’s history whilst also revitalising it. In the field of jewellery, this involved the reissue of designs from the archives, followed by the launch of a collection featuring new designs in 1986. The creation of this collection was entrusted to the excellent Atelier Vassort. These pieces, crafted from precious metals (gold, silver) and decorative stones (jade, onyx, carnelian, amber, mother-of-pearl, agate), pay homage to the Art Deco style that has so profoundly shaped the House’s identity, as well as to Jean Puiforcat. This tribute is reflected in our bracelet, with its stepped design and colours so characteristic of this avant-garde style.
