Description
ZOLOTAS, ‘Papyrus’ model
A 750‰ yellow gold ruff necklace comprising articulated links arranged in fan-shaped patterns, stylised to resemble papyrus stalks, decorated with gadroons and edged with gold beads, with a satin finish on one side and a polished finish on the other.
Signed ‘ZOLOTAS’.
Greek craftsmanship, bearing the House’s hallmark.
Length: 40 cm. Link width: 1.6 cm.
Weight: 51 g.
Comes with a green suede-effect case from the House.
Founded in 1895 by Efthymios Zolotas, Zolotas developed its aesthetic by drawing inspiration from the creations of Ancient Greece. Our necklace is reminiscent of pieces held at the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion in Crete – renowned for housing an exceptional collection of jewellery from the Minoan civilisation – which feature very similar link designs.
