An Italian Rococo painter born in Ancona, specialising in snowy landscapes, Foschi came from a noble family linked to the Counts Ferretti of Castelferretti. Trained by Francesco Mancini, his style is characterised by predominantly cool tones, enhanced by warm accents, influenced by the tradition of Nordic winter landscapes, and incorporating realistic elements observed in the Apennines.
