A headdress known as ‘La Malvina’, featuring a white tulle base embroidered with a bouquet of flowers on a speckled background, set upon a reinforced cardboard frame, edged with two wide strips of straw-backed Valenciennes lace turned back towards the rear, the back adorned with a shaped ecru silk satin bow decorated with flowers. This headdress has been prepared, starched and displayed on a mannequin head. Deux-Sèvres region. Late 19th century. (Good condition, slight wear to the ribbons and minor repairs).
