Silk pile on a silk backing.
The field consists of forty plant-motif panels, featuring floral designs in which botehs, vases, mihrabs, compositions and weeping willows appear alongside one another, all rendered in a beautiful array of colours. The main ruby-coloured border features a succession of open ivory-coloured corollas set against an interlaced pattern of stems. It is complemented by two ivory-coloured counter-borders with garlands of undulating small flowers. A fine piece.
Density of approximately 8/9,000 knots per dm².
