Wool pile on a cotton backing.
A medallion in a multi-lobed almond shape, in shades of navy, ivory and sky blue with a floral motif, and its arrow-shaped pendants, takes pride of place at the centre of a cherry-red field covered with floral scrolls. Four spandrels with tricoloured floral brackets complete the design. A wide navy blue border featuring interlaced, curling floral stems, flanked by six counter-borders of polychrome flower garlands. A fine example of classical design.
