Wool pile on a cotton backing.
A brick-red field features rows of facing anthracite-coloured botehs adorned with foliage (a symbol of life), interspersed with polychrome floral scrolls forming compositions. The anthracite border features undulating plant motifs, adorned with multicoloured blooming corollas, and is flanked by four ivory and sky-blue counter-borders with garlands of flowers. Brick-red braid. A beautifully original piece.
