Wool pile on a cotton backing.
A brick-red field features a scattering of multi-lobed florets, interspersed with cruciform floral arrangements, all predominantly bluish in colour. These serve as anchor points for a vast network of circular trellising, where, alongside small spring bouquets, a variegated bird or a speckled butterfly appears in turn. The main navy-blue border features garlands of sky-blue foliage, from which plant-like corollas emerge. It is flanked by four cream-coloured counter-borders with garlands of small flowers.
A lovely, fresh design.
