‘Marilyn’s Fight’. In this piece, I reinterpret the image of Marilyn Monroe,
who is usually associated with glamour but also with a certain
fragility, by depicting her wearing pink boxing gloves. The
portrait is deliberately rendered in black and white, with the exception of
these gloves: the pink thus becomes the focal point of the work and a
symbol of the struggle. Without directly depicting illness, I
wish, through these portraits, to evoke femininity, strength and
struggle, with a positive and contemporary approach.
Size: 75 × 100 cm, on a high-quality mount combining
Plexiglas and aluminium, signed.
