IDMAN (Finland) Model 51164 Polished brass chandelier with six arms, featuring a stylised floral design. The central shaft extends into sinuous arms ending in circular lamp holders, supporting pleated lampshades. The central element is adorned with cut-out brass leaves. Manufacturer’s mark on the base. Circa 1955 H_66 cm D_57 cm Bibliography: Model listed in the Idman catalogue as no. 138 (Part 1, p. 22). Notes: This model is part of Idman’s mid-1950s production, a period during which Paavo Tynell collaborated with the firm (from 1953 onwards). The numbering system and formal vocabulary – notably the organic treatment of the brass – are reminiscent of his stylistic circle.
