RENÉ LALIQUE for ‘Ambre de Siam’ by Parfums de Volnay (René Duval) – (1920) A rare ‘cachet’ model bottle in colourless, frosted, blown, pressed and moulded glass with a cylindrical section; its truncated conical base features a moulded decoration of intertwined pearl circles, topped by its spectacular openwork stopper depicting a sleeping nymph sheltered by intertwined bramble branches. Signed. An exclusive limited-edition model featured in the 1920 sales catalogue of Parfums de Volnay; one example was exhibited at Louis Majorelle’s gallery in Nancy in 1920. H: 12 cm.
