Portrait of the author on the frontispiece, illustrations in the text. Pierre-Michel-Eugène Vintras, known as Pierre-Michel-Élie, born in Bayeux on 7 April 1807 and died in Lyon on 7 December 1875, a cardboard worker from Tilly-sur-Seulles, claimed to be the reincarnation of the prophet Elijah and founded a sect. Paper missing from the edges of the covers, water stains and marks throughout the volume, tears with no loss of text, wormholes. FABRE D’OLIVET (Antoine). *Le Sage de l’Indostan*.
