[Recueil des planches des Sieurs Marot père & fils, dit " Le Grand Marot "], No place or date [Paris, Gabriel Chambras, 1686]. Known as "Le Grand Marot", a large oblong album in-4 from the late (?) 17th century comprising 5 folding plates of the Palais des Tuileries and 155 plates of private hotels in Paris such as the Hôtel de Cléry, Hôtel de Longueville, Hôtel de Colbert, Condé... (some of which no longer exist) and of churches, monuments and tombs, Arc de Triomphe, castles and foreign monuments... most of the plates engraved by Jean Marot. Tears, stains, chips and folds. Nice album as is, boards detached, some plates loose. No guarantee of collation, binding in ruins, incomplete, although the set offers a superb panorama of private mansions at the end of the 17th century.
