HERON DE VILLEFOSSE René: La Rivière Enchantée, etchings by Foujita, Paris, Klein, 1951, one of 15 ex hors commerce numbered "H", a folio volume in cloth wrappers (spotting), some spotting in the outer margins of some leaves. This is the rarest and most sought-after of the books illustrated by Foujita, and may be considered the artist's most accomplished work. It was published to mark his 65th birthday. Our copy is complete with the 26 illustrations in black and colour (including portraits of Héron de Villefosse and Foujita) and the illustrated cover.
